What changes once it's installed

It is the same BOOM ERP you already use in the browser — but opened from an icon instead of a bookmark, and running full screen like any other app on your phone.

Full screen, no address bar

The app is set to open in standalone mode, so there is no browser address bar and no tab strip — just BOOM ERP filling the whole screen, the way a normal app looks.

Its own icon, named "Boom"

The icon that lands on your home screen is labelled Boom. On Android it ships in a maskable version, so it fills your launcher's icon shape properly instead of sitting in a white box.

Orange status bar

The app declares a theme colour of #f58532, so the bar at the top of the screen picks up BOOM's orange instead of the default browser grey. A small thing you notice every time you open it.

Four long-press shortcuts

Press and hold the icon and you jump straight into one of four places: لوحة التحكم (Dashboard), الفواتير (Invoices), المهام (Tasks) or العملاء (Clients) — without loading the dashboard first.

Before you start

BOOM ERP is a web app you install from the browser

There is no BOOM ERP listing on the App Store or on Google Play. Searching a store for it will not find anything — and that is intentional.

BOOM ERP is a PWA (Progressive Web App). You open app.boom-erp.com in your phone's browser and tell the browser to add it to your home screen. From that moment it behaves like an app: its own icon, its own window, full screen, no address bar. Two practical consequences:

  • Nothing is downloaded from a store. No Apple or Google account to create and no app package to fetch — the browser builds the icon itself from the page you already have open.
  • It is always the latest version. Because it loads from our servers each time you open it, you never have a pending update and your team is never split across different app versions.
  • It works on both platforms from the same link. Android and iPhone both install from app.boom-erp.com — only the buttons you tap are different.

One honest limitation: BOOM ERP does not work offline. Your dashboard always loads live from the server and is deliberately never cached, so that you are never shown stale invoices, tasks or balances. You need an internet connection to use the app.

How to install it — watch it, then do it

Each phone below plays the real install flow for its platform on a loop. The written steps under it say the same thing in words.

Android — Chrome

  1. Open app.boom-erp.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
  3. Tap Install app — on some phones it reads Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm with Install in the little box that appears.
  5. The orange Boom icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open the app full screen.

Nothing is downloaded from Google Play — Chrome creates the icon itself.

iPhone — Safari

  1. Open app.boom-erp.com — it must be in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom centre.
  3. Scroll down the list that slides up.
  4. Tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Tap Add at the top right. The Boom icon appears on your home screen.

iPhone never offers to install the app by itself — you have to go through Share.

Coming soon to the app stores. We are preparing BOOM ERP for Google Play and the App Store. Until then, installing from your browser gives you the same app — and you will not have to reinstall anything when the store versions land.

iPhone users, read this one line. Apple only gives you "Add to Home Screen" reliably in Safari. If you opened the link from inside WhatsApp, Instagram, Gmail or Chrome, the option may be missing — tap the "open in Safari" option first, or paste app.boom-erp.com into Safari directly. And unlike Android, iOS will never pop up an install prompt on its own.

What the installed app actually does

Everything below is how the app is configured today — no extras promised:

  • Opens on your dashboard. Tapping the icon takes you to /admin, and asks you to log in if you are not already.
  • Full screen. Standalone display, so no address bar and no browser tabs.
  • Named "Boom". That is the label under the icon on both platforms.
  • Orange status bar from the app's theme colour, and a white background while it loads.
  • Rotates freely — portrait or landscape, whichever you hold.
  • Four shortcuts on a long-press of the icon.
  • Supports notifications at the technical level; whether they are switched on depends on your account setup.

Instead of opening the dashboard and navigating, a long press on the Boom icon jumps you straight to one of these four screens:

Is BOOM ERP on the App Store or Google Play?+
No. BOOM ERP is a Progressive Web App, so there is no App Store or Google Play listing to search for. You install it directly from your phone's browser at app.boom-erp.com, and nothing is downloaded from a store.
How do I install BOOM ERP on Android?+

Almost always because the page is open in an in-app browser (WhatsApp, Instagram, Gmail) or in another browser rather than Safari. Apple only offers the option reliably in Safari. Open the link in Safari — or type app.boom-erp.com into Safari yourself — and the option will be there. iOS also never shows an automatic install prompt, so you must go through the Share menu.
Does the app work offline?+
No. An internet connection is required. The dashboard is deliberately loaded live from the server every time and is never served from a cache, so you are never shown out-of-date invoices, tasks or numbers. Only the app's icons are stored on the phone.
Do I have to update the app?+
No. Because it loads from our servers, you always get the latest version the moment you open it. There is no update to install and no chance of your team running different versions.
What are the four shortcuts on the icon?+

Can I install it on more than one phone?+
Yes. Install it on as many phones as you like — the icon is just a shortcut to your account. Each person still signs in with their own login.

Exactly like any other app: press and hold the Boom icon on your home screen and choose to remove or delete it. Your data stays safely in your BOOM ERP account, and you can always open app.boom-erp.com in the browser again.
